I was standing in line at the post office today, and a middle-aged worker was helping us. He looked at me and said, “Do you mind if I ask you a question?” I immediately thought he was going to ask about my birthmark, as most strangers do. I smiled and said, “Sure.”
Instead of asking a question, he said, “My daughter has the same birthmark as you do. And actually, so does my niece. I know that some people can be unkind about birthmarks like yours, but just ignore them. You are beautiful.”
Wow.
Thank you, kind sir, for your words. You’re making the world a kinder and more beautiful place. ❤️
