Early Sunday morning, Officer Kristen Miller from the Gainesville Police Department headed out to check on a 92-year-old woman after reports came in that her power had gone out.
When Miller got to the woman’s house, she discovered that all the food in the refrigerator had gone bad, and the woman had run out of water. To make matters worse, she didn’t have any way to get to the store.
Taking matters into her own hands, Miller decided to go to the store herself. She bought food and water for the woman using her own personal funds.
